The Final 8-Week Revision Timetable for KJSEA and KPSEA Households

Revision plans fail from ambition, not laziness. A timetable built around one protected hour, a weekly timed paper, and a household that stays calm.

The Final 8-Week Revision Timetable for KJSEA and KPSEA Households

Every November there are two kinds of candidate households: the ones running a modest plan they actually keep, and the ones recovering from an ambitious plan that collapsed in week two. The difference is never willpower; it is design. A revision timetable a family can keep has three properties: it is short daily, it rotates subjects, and it produces one marked, timed paper every week.

The structure

Weeks outDaily hourWeekend block
8 to 6Strand summaries, one subject per day in rotationOne timed paper, marked the same day
5 to 4Weak strands only, identified from the marked papersOne timed paper in the weakest subject
3 to 2Mixed questions across subjects, shorter sessionsMock weekend: two papers under exam timing
Final weekCards, formulas, formats only; no new contentRest, equipment check, early nights

The protected hour matters more than its contents. Fix it at the same time daily, defend it from errands and visitors, and end it on time: a candidate who trusts that the hour ends stops negotiating and starts working. The weekly timed paper is the engine of the whole plan, because marking it against the scheme is where revision actually happens; our Mathematics question types guide and KPSEA comprehension guide both turn on that same loop.

The parent's role, precisely

Parents run the timetable, not the teaching: protect the hour, provide the marked paper, feed and sleep the candidate, and keep the household's temperature low. The subject-by-subject week plan for Grade 9 is laid out free on the KJSEA countdown page, and the papers the plan consumes are one download each: the Grade 9 All Subjects Bundle for KJSEA households and the Grade 6 All Subjects Bundle for KPSEA households. Print the table, stick it on the wall, and let the plan be the disciplinarian so the parent does not have to be.
