Grade 9 Pre-Technical Studies: Whole-Year Pack is a 101-page PDF that covers every one of the 13 sub-strands of the KICD Grade 9 Pre-Technical Studies design, term by term, with 41 worked examples, 208 questions with answers, three end-of-term tests, an end-of-year paper and a detachable Answer Booklet. What exactly is in this pack?
A 101-page PDF. For every one of the 13 sub-strands of the Grade 9 Pre-Technical Studies design there is a unit with 'I can' outcomes, a plain explanation, key terms, worked examples, the mistakes that cost marks and graded practice (recall, application, higher order). There are 41 worked examples, 208 questions with answers, three end-of-term tests, an end-of-year paper (100 marks) and the reference books page. The answers are in a detachable Answer Booklet at the back (25 pages). The shop delivers one PDF; a separate answer-booklet PDF and a questions-only PDF are also prepared and can be sent on request on WhatsApp +254 711 344 702.

Which curriculum design is it based on?
It follows the 13 sub-strands (5 strands) and the 120 suggested lessons of the KICD Grade 9 Pre-Technical Studies design (rationalised). On 8 Nov 2026 we opened the Mwalimu Focus listing of that design, which shows the strands, sub-strands and lesson counts. The full design PDF with the learning outcomes is paid and was not bought or read, and the official kicd.ac.ke PDF links did not open, so outcomes and content below sub-strand level were chosen by us in our own words and checked against open sources (HSE, KRA, the Central Bank of Kenya and others, listed in our fact file). The 'I can' statements, explanations and questions are original.

Are the answers and working included?
Yes. Every question has an answer in the Answer Booklet. Calculations show every step and the unit, with method (M) and accuracy (A) marks. Explanations and safety answers list the marking points, one mark for each correct point. The booklet starts on its own sheet so you can print the questions for the learner and keep the answers.

Who is it for?
Grade 9 learners revising on their own, parents helping at home (you do not need to know the subject: mark with the Answer Booklet) and teachers who want a ready bank of questions and worked examples. It supports classroom learning and does not replace your teacher's assessment.

Will it guarantee a good result?
No. It is a study aid. Results depend on the learner's own work and the school's assessment. The EE, ME, AE and BE bands in the score sheets are a revision guide, not a KNEC cut-off.
