Raising or teaching a child under Kenya's Competency Based Curriculum (CBC, now CBE) can feel lonely. The designs are still settling, assessment rules shift, and it is not always clear where to get a straight answer. That is why we have opened a free space for everyone on the CBC journey: the CBCEduKenya Facebook community. If you are a parent, a teacher or a tutor, you are welcome to join today, at no cost.
The group is built around one simple idea: no Kenyan parent or teacher should have to figure CBC out alone. Below is what the community is for, what you get inside, and how to join in under a minute.
Why we started the community
Every week we get the same questions on WhatsApp and email. When is KJSEA? What exactly does my Grade 6 sit for in KPSEA? Which learning areas are examinable now? Where do I find revision papers that actually match the current format? Those questions deserve quick, reliable answers, and they deserve a place where other parents and teachers who have been through it can chip in too. A Facebook group is where most Kenyan parents and teachers already are, so we brought the support to you.
What you get inside the group
- Exam updates you can trust. Clear, timely notes on KJSEA (Grade 9) and KPSEA (Grade 6), including the national assessment window of 26 October to 20 November 2026, plus any changes from KNEC and the Ministry.
- Free sample resources. Worked examples, revision tips and sample questions with marking schemes, shared regularly so you can see the standard before you ever spend a shilling.
- Real answers to real questions. Ask about pathways, grading, subjects or study plans and get a response, from us and from fellow members.
- Revision and study support. Simple, practical guidance on how to help a learner revise the whole cycle, not just cram past papers the week before an exam.
- Peer support. Encouragement and shared experience from parents and teachers across the country who are walking the same road.
Who the group is for
The community is open to parents and guardians of learners from PP1 to Grade 12, to teachers and tutors, and to school leaders who want to stay current with CBE. Whether your child is preparing for KPSEA in Grade 6, sitting KJSEA in Grade 9, or choosing a Senior School pathway in Grade 10, there is something here for you. IGCSE and Cambridge families are welcome too.

No. You never have to buy a thing to be a member. Many people join just for the updates and the community.
