Grade 10 is the first senior school cohort under CBE, which means there are almost no past papers and very little second-hand material in circulation. Parents searching for "Grade 10 notes PDF" are usually trying to fill that gap before the end of Term 3 exams. This page lists every Grade 10 subject we have notes for, grouped the way senior school timetables group them, with the matching end of term exam and marking scheme for each.
First, which subjects does your child actually take?
Every Grade 10 learner takes a compulsory core, then a set of electives decided by the pathway and subject combination their school placed them in. Before you buy anything, check the timetable or the placement letter. There is no point revising a subject your child does not sit. If you are unsure how combinations work, our guide to senior school subject combinations explains it.
| Group | Subjects | Who takes them |
|---|---|---|
| Core | English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Community Service Learning, Physical Education | Every Grade 10 learner |
| Sciences and technical | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Computer Science | Mostly STEM combinations |
| Humanities and business | History, Geography, Business Studies, Religious Education, Government | Mostly Social Sciences combinations |
| Languages and literature | English Literature, French, German, Arabic, Mandarin | Learners whose combination includes a language |
| Arts and sports | Fine Art, Music, Theatre, Film Studies | Mostly Arts and Sports Science combinations |
Grade 10 notes and exams, subject by subject
Each set of notes is written strand by strand against the KICD senior school designs. Each exam is a full end of term paper with a separate marking scheme, so your child can sit it under time and then check every answer. All items are KSh 100.
| Subject | Notes | End of term exam | Marking scheme |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | Notes | Exam | Answers |
| English | Notes | Exam | Answers |
| Kiswahili | Notes | Exam | Answers |

Notes also exist for Computer Science, Religious Education, Arabic, French, Community Service Learning and every other subject on the Grade 10 page.

How to use notes and exams together in the next four weeks
- Week 1: sit one end of term exam per core subject, timed, and mark it with the separate scheme. Note every question lost.
- Week 2: go back to the notes only for the strands behind the lost marks. Do the same for the three electives.
- Week 3: resit the weakest two papers without looking at the old answers. The score change tells you whether the revision worked.
- Week 4: light revision of formulae, definitions and set texts only. No new topics in the last few days.

Common questions from Grade 10 parents
Are these the same as the Term 2 exams?
No. The end of term exams listed above are full papers for the year's work, each with its own marking scheme. The older Term 2 papers are a separate, smaller set.
Will my child get the same questions in school?
No, and nobody honest can promise that. The value is in practising the format, the timing and the kind of question, then fixing the gaps the marking scheme reveals.
Can a teacher use these with a class?
Yes. Many of our buyers are teachers setting revision work. The notes and exams print cleanly on A4, and the separate marking schemes make class marking quicker.
How do I receive the files?
Pay by M-Pesa on the product page. The download link appears on screen and arrives by email at once, and it works five times over a year, so a lost file is never lost for good.
