Why a capstone exists
Knowledge without application evaporates in 30 days. Every module before this one taught you something — this module forces you to use it to build something real, publish it, and show it off. That\'s what the certificate actually certifies.
This isn\'t busywork. People who complete real projects learn 3-5x more than people who just read. You\'ll also finish this module with a public piece of work on your name — a portfolio you didn\'t have before.
Your project must satisfy 3 rules
- It must be AI-assisted. At least one module\'s technique (prompt engineering, vibe coding, using an AI tool) is central to how you built it.
- It must be public. A URL anyone can open. Screenshots don\'t count.
- It must be useful. To you, your child, your students, your business, or your community. Not a toy.
Six project ideas (pick one or invent your own)
Option 1: A one-page study companion for a CBC subject
Vibe-code a single HTML page that shows: today\'s topic, 5 practice questions, answers hidden until clicked. Update it weekly with your child\'s current topic.
Option 2: A prompt template library for teachers
A Google Doc or simple web page with 20 ready-to-use ChatGPT prompts for teachers: lesson plans, rubrics, parent messages, reports. Write each prompt using the CO-STAR framework from Module 4.
Option 3: A small-business AI SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)
A 3-page document for a small business (your own or a family member\'s) showing exactly: which 5 tasks to run through AI every week, which tools to use, and specific prompt templates for each. Pure application of Module 7.
Option 4: A landing page for your business or yourself
Vibe-coded in one prompt session. Deployed on Netlify. Features: what you do, 3 key offerings, a WhatsApp button. Share the URL on your CV and LinkedIn.
Option 5: A bilingual vocabulary flashcard generator
Web page where user enters an English word → gets Kiswahili translation + example sentence + pronunciation. Built by prompting Claude and calling a free translation API.
Option 6: Your own idea
If none of the above fits, invent one. The only rules are the three above.
How to plan (30 minutes)
- Write one sentence describing what your project does. Example: "A web page that calculates net take-home salary for Kenyan workers in 2026."
- Write who uses it and what problem it solves for them. One paragraph.
- List the 3 features it must have. Not more. Ship, don\'t perfect.
- Decide your tool. Most will use Claude + Notepad + Netlify. Module 8 taught you how.
How to build (2-4 hours)
Follow the Module 8 vibe-coding workflow:
- Prompt Claude with your 3 features + design preferences.
- Copy the HTML. Save. Open. Iterate.
- Make 5-10 rounds of feedback with Claude until it\'s "good enough."
- Deploy to Netlify Drop.
- Test on your phone browser. Works? Done.

- You\'ve built and shipped a real project using AI — not just consumed content.
- You\'re paying attention to where the world is going.
In 2026 Kenya, that puts you ahead of 90% of your peers. It\'s worth KSH 1,000.
