🎯

Our Mission

To make quality, curriculum-aligned learning materials accessible and affordable for every Kenyan learner β€” from Pre-Primary 1 right through to Grade 12, IGCSE, and Cambridge A Level.

We believe no teacher should spend their evenings searching for reliable notes, and no parent should struggle to find proper revision materials for their child. We've built the resource centre that Kenya's education system needed.

💡

The Problem We Solved

When Kenya transitioned to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC (now CBE)), teachers were handed a new system but not the materials to deliver it. KICD provided curriculum designs, but the day-to-day teaching resources β€” notes, schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment rubrics β€” were left to teachers to create from scratch.

Parents were equally lost. "What is my child supposed to be learning?" became a question without a clear answer. We built CBC Edu Kenya to answer it.

πŸ“–

How We Work

Every resource is written to follow the official KICD Curriculum Designs and KNEC assessment formats, and is checked before it is published.

For Cambridge/IGCSE content, we work against current syllabus versions and follow Cambridge International Education standards. CBC (now CBE) and Cambridge content are always kept completely separate on this platform.

🌍

Beyond Kenya

While our core mission serves Kenyan learners, CBC Edu Kenya also publishes free AI education content for a global audience β€” helping students and teachers everywhere understand and use artificial intelligence tools responsibly.

Our free YouTube channel (@CBCEduKenya) delivers tutorial videos, live Q&A sessions, and holiday coaching programmes at no cost to learners.

Our Commitments

What we promise to every teacher, parent, and learner who uses this platform

✅

Original, KICD-Aligned Content

Every CBC (now CBE) resource is created from scratch to follow the official KICD Curriculum Designs. We never reproduce copyrighted textbooks or KICD publications.

✅

Honest Pricing β€” 100 KSH Per Resource

One flat price for every individual resource. No hidden fees, no subscriptions, no price gouging. M-Pesa accepted β€” because we know how Kenyans pay. Bundle deals available for bulk savings.

✅

Sent to your email after payment

Once your M-Pesa, Visa, or PayPal payment is confirmed, your download link is emailed to you, usually within the hour between 8am and 10pm. Your order page shows every file too, so a lost email never means a lost purchase.

✅

CBC (now CBE) and Cambridge Never Mixed

These are two fundamentally different education systems. On this platform, they are completely separate. CBC (now CBE) content follows Kenya MoE standards. Cambridge content follows Cambridge International Education standards. Period.

✅

No False Claims About KICD Endorsement

We say "aligned with KICD Curriculum" because that's accurate. We do NOT claim "KICD Approved" or "Ministry of Education Endorsed" unless we have obtained official endorsement. Trust requires honesty.

✅

Mobile-First, Kenya-First

Over 80% of Kenyan internet users browse on mobile. This entire platform was designed for mobile first. Every page, every download flow, every payment step works on your phone β€” no laptop required.

Safe & Easy Payments

We support Kenya's most trusted payment methods. M-Pesa is our primary option β€” just enter your phone number and confirm the prompt. No registration required for M-Pesa purchases.

  • M-Pesa STK Push β€” you get a prompt on your phone. Enter your PIN. Done.
  • Visa / Mastercard β€” secure card payments via Stripe
  • PayPal β€” for international buyers, including IGCSE/Cambridge clients

The Person Behind CBC Edu Kenya

Charles Kariuki, Founder of CBC Edu Kenya

Charles Kariuki

Founder & Editor, CBC Edu Kenya

Charles Kariuki founded CBC Edu Kenya to give Kenyan parents, learners and teachers clear, affordable materials for the Competency-Based Curriculum (now CBE). When the new curriculum arrived, families and schools were handed a new system without enough practical material to work from. The site grew out of filling that gap, one grade at a time.

Charles has spent 10 years building websites and 5 years working hands-on with AI. He is also co-founder, Lead AI Engineer and Group CEO of AI Consultancy Kenya. As editor of CBC Edu Kenya he oversees every guide, article and revision pack on the site, written to follow the KICD curriculum designs and the KNEC assessment formats.

He also builds the technology behind the site, including Somo, an AI tutor made for CBC/CBE learners, and a free AI Foundations course for Kenyan students and teachers.
