Questions adults ask us

Am I too old to take IGCSE?

No. There is no maximum age. Adults of any age take IGCSE as private candidates, and you are assessed only on the exams.

Do I need to have finished school first?

No. No previous qualifications are required to register as a private candidate. You can start fresh.

Where do I sit the exams?

At a registered Cambridge centre, often a British Council office. If there is none nearby, some candidates travel to a centre in a neighbouring country for the exam period. We help you plan this.

How do sciences work without a laboratory?

Cambridge offers an Alternative to Practical paper for private candidates, which assesses practical understanding in writing. We prepare you specifically for it.

How is the tutoring scheduled around my job?

Sessions are online and arranged with you, typically evenings and weekends. If a busy week comes up, we adjust; the plan flexes around your life.

What if I fall behind?

Because you have a two-year runway and can spread subjects across series, there is room to adjust. Your tutor and plan keep you on track without panic.

How do I pay from outside Kenya?

By card or PayPal in USD, wherever you are. M-Pesa is available in the region. You pay monthly, so you are never locked in.
